We loved having breakfast each morning, followed by wine and snacks in the evening, and freshly baked cookies before bed. Coffee, tea, cold drinks, fruit, and candy available all day. Sitting by the fireplace in the lobby sipping wine and reading a book. Just perfect."

"The biggest issue, which is probably the largest complaint that anyone has of visiting downtown Charleston, is the absurdly expensive parking. The Lodge Alley Inn is a marvelous and convenient place to stay and it is very affordable. I remember that back in 2006 when I signed up for a Bluegreen timeshare the parking was free or almost so."

"Loved the location of this place! We were told not to book a rental car when visiting downtown Charleston - that was a good suggestion. We took an Uber from the airport and walked or hopped on the free shuttle to get around downtown. Our room was spacious enough for me and my husband. When he slept in, I was able to hang out in the living room. We both thought the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. Our room was not in a preferred location of the building.
