Love everything about the hotel. From the freshly picked papayas, to the homemade banana bread, freshly brewed coffee, to the beautiful sound of birds chirping when I awoke everything morning. To the beautiful surrounding foliage and garden. Kelli and the hotel, I felt,was full of Love and Aloha. If the above is what you seek I highly recommend the hotel. Would love to stay there again. "A very sweet, well-kept stately old property that exudes then charm of old Hilo. Check in was easy- note there are some fairly steep stairs leading up to the front door, as well as stairs within the house. I was very comfortable in my efficiency room, and especially appreciated the water, condensation, and diamond bakery cream crackers which were a much needed snack during my Merrie Monarch adventures! A great location and a comfortable place to stay for any Hilo vacation. "

"I love the old Hawaiian look that the Wild Ginger Hotel provides. There were no fancy pictures or decorations but what they did have, gave me a sense of old Hawaii. I enjoyed every bit of staying there and I plan on staying there again."
