"We really enjoyed our stay. The house was nice, but definitely needs some TLC. That did not deter from the beauty of the water below. We saw a turtle nearly everyday. It was a great place to visit all the sites nearby and we enjoyed the small town of Pahoa. The house was furnished well. Kitchen well stocked. We were grateful for the washer and dryer as well! All in all, very relaxing. The beds were good. We had one night that was very wet and it was a little humid in the house. But listening to the waves hit those rocks put me to sleep everytime! "We’ve stayed in the Volcano area three times and this was the best accommodation by far. Check-in was flawless and our room was clean, large, and comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything. There was a mini-fridge with freezer and a microwave. There were also a few necessary cups, dishes, silverware and glassware. This is SO important in Volcano, as there are so few dining options. If you bring a well-stocked cooler, you could spend several days here comfortably. We would stay here again."

"Great Hotel. Definitely would stay again. Love the proximity to the airport, downtown Hilo, Coconut Island, restaurants and parks. A little nosy by most hotels are. I appreciated the ladies at the front desk, upon check in, sharing their knowledge of the hotels history (many renovations and buildings later, the first building was housing for workers; so many transformations). And the free beverage (kombucha). Mahalo nui loa! "
