Albatros Sharm Resort - Sharm El Sheikh

4.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (2)
"We chose this hotel as it claimed to have a 5star PADI dive school on site. It was closed! Booked with another school who collected us, but we had missed two days diving. During our visit there were 4 British, 6 Italians, 6 Germans. Everyone else were Russian. Fortunately I speak tourist Russian, but everyone else felt uncomfortable being in the minority. We snorkelled about 400 metres to the left of the lift, which descends to the beach and discovered human sewage outflow pipes. Possible...

"Overall a fantastic experience but we did have a slight issue on arrival when we were told no room available even though we had a booking!! We were asked to stay in a sister hotel for the night and our original rooms would be available the following day. Do Not accept this! You'll end up stuck in a lower quality place. Other than that it was great. Perfectly acceptable and plentiful food, good location and friendly staff."

"We had a great stay here. The facilities are excellent, pools are lovely, rooms are well equipped (bit dated in decor but clean and comfortable). The staff were amazing, couldn't be more helpful, from the reception team who dealt with an issue with our check in (Expedia hadn't forwarded our booking properly) and gave us drinks, wifi codes and calmed me down (!) to the restaurant team and the cleaners - everyone was really friendly. The spa was great - had a series of 4 massages and a Turkish...
