"Life goals - stay in a palace. Completed!! This hotel was incredible and had a beautiful view of the water (Nile), you could stroll at night and visit the Luxor temple. The bathroom and large patio off the bedroom were stunning. The breakfast on fine china and delicious eats was one of the best I’d had in a while. Will definitely return to this place that was comfort and heaven in every way."

"Excellent location to stay in Alexandria. Close to everything. Walked to both the Fish Market and the Alexandria Library. Breakfasts were great each morning and the staff was very attentive. Manager and staff all very nice. Enjoyed Montys Bar with entertainment on the first floor. Two women at Concierge were very helpful Nagham and Nesma. It was great also to have the car transport service available at the Cecil Hotel. Rania from the car transport was very helpful in arranging our 3-hour car...

"Loved taking a small boat to Elephantine island. Beautiful grounds to stroll and restaurant in the tower had stunning views of the water and night life happening on the other side. The staff were amazing from check in, spa, housekeeping to the drivers/porters to the boat. I will recommend to all my friends. "

"Stayed in an economy single. Not much space, dated, but sufficiently clean, bed was comfortable, hot water worked well. I would put it on par with a private room at a hostel. Not much in the immediate area, but also not that far from a lot of stuff. There’s a little shop almost directly across the street for snacks and water, guy was fair, not trying to scam you (about 10 EGP for a 1.5L water). I walked from the train station, and then to all the major tourist sites. "
