"I had an excellent 4-day stay at Camino Verde B&B. The inn was located within walking distance of everything in Santa Elena. There is a mini-market right next door for anything you might need as well as a diner ("soda") next door on the otherside of the inn for excellent, authentic, high quality low priced Tico meals. Daily breakfast was awesome as was the staff. I espcially appreciated the kind help of Diego and Aaron who helped me plan my excursions. Many thanks! I'll be back."

"We stayed in the cabin, which is next to the reception. We stayed for two days. It was comfortable. We enjoyed having the balcony with an amazing view. The breakfast was great and served by the owners to our table. We also enjoyed seeing the wildlife on site. The best part about our stay was the friendly family. We did not realize how rough the roads were too Monteverde though! We drove from La Fortuna to Monte Verde. If you are visiting and driving this way, know that the roads are treacherous....

"The breakfast, which was included in the price, was amazing (eggs, toast, butter, jam, juice, and coffee). The facility is new and offers Wi-Fi and parking. The shower had the best water pressure of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip through Costa Rica. Upon arrival, they provide you with a map detailing all the local amenities, including the supermarket and tourist attractions, along with their prices!"

Takes about ten minutes off the main road so not handy if you are heading in and out all the time but so secluded and quiet when you are there. The view alone is worth the effort. "Perfect. Not only did the staff wait for us as we were a late check in, but the room above and beyond what we were expecting. Everything was beautifully cleaned and well maintained, and the water pressure in the shower was especially perfect. "We booked day-of after a change in plans and were just looking for a cheap and decent place to stay overnight. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is adorable. No frills, but the room and premises were clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. They served a delicious, made-to-order breakfast. No A/C wasn't a problem as the temperature dropped at night. Walkable to town for dinner and drinks. Check in and check out were easy. "
