"We really liked this hotel. The location was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean but the bathrooms were a little tight for space. They brag about their coffee and for good reason - it was delicious - especially the Americano con leche. We did find the water to be intermittently hot in the showers and when the hotel had more guests it was a little louder. We would recommend. "

"Beautifully appointed rooms with private plunge pool and view of ocean. Staff very courteous. Breakfasts included in rate were excellent. We ate dinner at the hotel most nights for convenience and because the food and service was good. The main drawback of this hotel is that it is too far away from Santa Teresa and the main beaches to walk so you need to book taxis ( $20 each way), rent an ATV or rent a car. "

"I enjoyed my two days at Cerro. The cabin was spacious and the outdoor (screened) shower tres cool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Guides and tours can be arranged at the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend the river tour."

The front desk woman helped place an order at the restaurant to be ready when we got there because we were arriving later than expected with sleepy kids. We were welcomed with yummy welcome drink which the kids loved and then shown to our room. Our dinner was brought right up which was so nice! "The property is tucked into the jungle close to town and the beach. The sound of the surf is relaxing. There is always wildlife on the property: birds, monkeys, aguatis, iguanas. It's a great spot. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good restaurant. Great breakfast options."

"The hotel was very nice and the pool area was beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting by the pool for breakfast and then going for a swim. They also made some really good cocktails. All the staff were so friendly and very polite. The food and service at the YOLO restaurant was top notch. They had either live music or a DJ which we loved. Joshua at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. He helped us make all our plans and made sure we always had what we needed. Only complaint I would have is the thin walls in the main building. We could hear everything in the next room. That being said, we will be back. Thanks for the great stay!! "
