"This hotel was so lovely, I was so impressed by both the service and facilities. The check-in is at el Faro hotel but this is really very close, like next door close. The Faro restaurant and pools are fab and are up a small hill but the walk is perfectly fine for a normally fit person and the view is worth the climb. "Wonderful staff! They made us feel so at home and helped us book all the activities we wanted to do while visiting monteverde. The rooms do get a bit hot because there are no ac units - just one rotating fan per room. The bathroom also had a rough smell because there were no vents inside of it. But if you are looking for an affordable, safe and welcoming stay, this is definitely a wonderful pick!!"

"Lovely staff and really well kept, if admittedly spartan, facilities. The breakfasts are great and the location is within easy walking distance of one of the town's best sodas. The staff are excellent at managing expeditions and tours as well. Finally, while the bed was small and the hot water did flicker, the room held a real charm to it nestled among the trees. Small kitchenette was perfect. The busses are great here so when we didn't walk to shopping and restaurants (there were plenty!) We hopped on the bus for 85 cents.
