"Cool repurposing of an old sugar refinery. There is a lot to like about this hotel. The rooms are all suites and very comfortable. The room decor was nondescript though and some of the fixtures were loose, counters chipped, paint slapped on carelessly. It spoiled the boutique vibe."

"Beautiful vintage hotel directly on the trolley route. They only give you one room key though. It is an actual key and not a key card. The rooms are smaller than one might like for the cost of the stay. We had a two room Thalia suite. "

"Very quiet neighborhood and very walkable. I walked to restaurants, cafes, galleries and a nail salon. Communication wasn't the best. One staff member would tell me one thing and then I would go to another staff member and they would tell me another thing. I was told there are no towels on the rooftop and to ask the front desk. I came down and asked the front desk (young black woman). She was unfriendly and lacked hospitality (also not responsive via the message system. Took her hours! to...

"Excellent staff— incredibly engaging reception and assistance from every member of staff I encountered. The property and grounds are top notch in their sense of art & design. It was ongoing eye candy from room to room. Whoever decorated has an exceptional eye and sense for how to put things together— the historic property meets with a freshness that made me feel comfortable and like I wanted to explore every nook. Thank you for a wonderful stay. "
