"Umami is a gorgeous garden hotel! We loved our suites. The decor is just stunning. The staff is courteous and kind. Breakfast tasted amazing! We loved the rice and beans. The parking is minimal. However using bikes, a tuk tuk, or walking is the best way to get around this jungle beach town. Bring earplugs because the birds and other lodgings in the area may wake you up. As a Jamaican, I loved our culture mixed in. We loved Old Habour aka Puerto Viejo! We will definitely go back and stay at Umami...

Don’t forget to visit the sister property they have a very nice pool. The only observation is the dining menu is always the same and very seafood forward. However they are great restaurants nearby. "
