"The property was a perfect spot for me. I extended my stay twice because of the hospitality and willingness to accommodate me by Scott (the property manager). Everything was perfect and I definitely recommend staying there. I will try to stay again next time I am in Puerto Viejo. Pura Vida!!!"

"We stayed in the smaller of the two dwellings. The location is absolutely ideal as it is protected on the left side with gorgeous large stone walls. You share this space with nobody everything is within one large room. And you really don’t need any more room than this! A king size bed is delightful, the refrigerator works quite fine. "This property is run down. We showed up and the gate wasnt locking properly with an unknow time frame for repairs which made us feel unsafe for a number of reasons, including we have small children. It’s also Werth to note that the penthouse is very open and unsafe on a site on a third floor, which is not for children. "Great stay! Beach really is just steps away, and you can fall asleep to the sound of waves every night. Everything you would need is provided. We stayed for 12 nights, and it was not long enough. Access to the National Park without boating in/out. "Staff, setting, and food were all awesome. It was a peaceful, natural hotel. Prepare for rain. It’s a part of the experience, and there were lots of breaks in the rain, even some sun around the pool in the afternoon. The night walk was unforgettable, the little town of Tortuguero so interesting, and the water transport to and from Pavona docks was so mesmerizing and unique. I loved the staff who work at Mawamba! Big shout out to the restaurant staff, chefs, and bar staff. "

"I am not sure if we received VIP. perks but the property, food, staff, and room were awesome. It was like a little oasis in a bustling but laid back area. The restaurant, Gigi’s, was lovely and the staff were so friendly. The food options were flavourful and the entertainment made it extra special. Great staff in reception and housekeeping, too. Beautiful pool area. "

"Friendly and helpful staff. Centrally located. Easy walk to all of the local restaurants, beaches and attractions. The grounds of the hotel and rooms were beautiful and incorporated the natural beauty of the area. I highly recommend and would stay here again. "
