"An absolutely wonderful, peaceful environment the owners have created. What an absolutely great place at a great price. "The place is 200 m from Playa Chiquita entrance (cars can only go about 100 m, then it's end road and you have to walk anyway). They have a nice restaurant inside the property with really good food and you can avoid the crowds in town. Excellent place to rest and the staff is super kind."

"The staff was supposed to get back to me regarding additional reservations. I still have not heard back from them. Further, it’s very difficult to reach the front desk from an external phone. I tried to reach them because I had left my water shoes behind and wanted to let them know to keep it safely so that I can pick it up later. I found it very difficult to access the front desk phone number."

"Shawandha Ecolodge had incredibly kind and helpful staff. The bungalow was charming and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was tasty and plentiful. The only thing that made my stay less than ideal was the construction 2 bungalows away from me. I understand there’s no truly great time to do construction, but having saws and hammering begin at 8 am and not stop until after 5 pm made it impossible to sleep in or get rest during the daytime, and for me that was kind of a big deal. "The room was great, the breakfast was great, the massage was one of the best my wife has ever had, and the location was perfect. But what really made it special were the hosts. They were welcoming and caring, and were there every morning to see how we were doing and to give recommendations on what to do or where to go. For my wife's birthday, they left card, flowers, balloons, and even a rum and coke kit in our room. The facilities are beautiful, but they made it exceptional. "
