"Really liked the hotel and location. Will be going back later in the year. Only criticism was the pool not being open in the morning. Otherwise great hotel with lovely staff! Shame the town is becoming rundown, the low lighting in the shopping area at night made us want to get back to the hotel asap. "

"The reception was ok. Cleanliness ok Bed comfort Zero Bathroom Area Zero General atmosphere Zero. Only food available a Breakfast box by the door. Left after one night and had to pay to stay in another hotel Hotel near by provide good service and Evening meal plus cooked breakfast at just a small amount more than the Westcliffe. Cost me an additional £500. Covid Excuse does not apply as I have stayed in 4 hotels in Devon and Cornwall all providing good service and Food. Only worth £40 per...

"A very warm welcome and a lovely room. Bed was comfy and the hotel was quiet for a good night's sleep. A short walk to the beach and pier, and also not too far to the town centre. My only negative was the bathroom is tiny. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"Typical Brittania Hotel. A bit run down but perfectly good for a solo traveller passing through like myself. Easy parking and about 15b mins walk to Town"

"I stayed one night with a dried as we were going out clubbing. It was a gorgeous place. My only bug bear as the lighting when getting ready was a little dull and could have done with a full length mirror. The bed was so comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot, which was lovely. Receptionist was very friendly. Didnt stay for breakfast as was quite a late night but would definitely go back. Good value for money. Thank you. "
