"This is an historical hotel in use since the 1late 800's. Very quaint period furnishings. Antique furniture throughout with the exception of the flat screen TV and in suite Jacuzzi tub. Very comfortable with nice product in the bath. EXCELLENT restaurant/bar on the 1st floor. The only thing we missed this time was a ghostly encounter!!!!"

"We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was well-appointed, with a large kitchen and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was a blessing since we visited during an extreme heat wave. Lovely yard and driveway parking. Great communication from the hosts. The best part was that it was just steps from downtown Benicia which is a wonderful place to walk, sightsee, shop, and dine. "

"I was greeted by the owners who were gracious and kind. Each piece of furniture in this house has a story, creating a comfortable and warm atmosphere. You are within walking distance of the marina and beautiful Benicia with several cute restaurants, pubs, and cafes to sample. The kitchen is fully equipped and they even supply goodies to make smores. Thank you for this wonderful weekend getaway! "

"The owner of this property should be removed from VRBO. She did not communicate with us at all until 5 hours after our check-in time, when she cancelled our reservation. When we tried to communicate with her to get the key she hung up on us. We ended up having to find our own accommodations for 9 people, including two small children, after 9pm. In addition, the fact that this house is now on the market for sale indicates that this person may not even own the property."
