"Just an overnight stay. Arrived hotel around 7pm. check-in was smooth. The location about 1 km away from the main street and in the same building as a Karaoke bar. Unfortunately, my room is closed to the karaoke room and can hear the singing and music until midnight... luckily. Breakfast is average. A bowl of pho is all I took. Overall ok stay considering the price. "

"Bedsheets were not changed. Don't auto refill the stuff in the fridge. No Bathmats. Once service taken, you will be charged. Even though that service is a normal part of any hotels process. Food restaurants doesn't have marks to differentiate between vegetarian/ Non vegetarian. Looks like they are just they're for pulling out the money out of customer's pocket. "

"We had a very very good stay here for 1 night following a busy few days seeing the sights of northern Vietnam. The Moc dining dinner was one of the best meals we had in Hanoi area. "Of the multiple hotels that I’ve stayed in my several week visit to VN, I found Matilda boutique hotel to be one of the nicer hotels. Morning breakfast was really excellent and the service very very good. They went the extra mile to take care of my needs. I would definitely stay there again. It was a great value for the amount I paid."

"In all of Vietnam, this hotel was one of the nicest that we stayed in. Great location, updated and elegant decor, and incredibly helpful staff who provided great advice and made so many arrangements for us (thank you, Jimmy!). These arrangements included an airport pickup and advice on booking tours such as Ha Long Bay and the Ha Giang loop. The rooftop bar was terrific! Top-notch: thank you, La Nueva!"

"The property was in a great location, very close to the river and night markets. The beds in the room were very comfy and the staff were very friendly, Lily was especially lovely, friendly and super helpful. The walls between rooms were very thin so depending what neighbours you got will depend how quiet your room will be. The room we had also had a glass door so the hallway light came through at night, our room was the only door like this on our floor, so i'm not sure why it didn't have a wooden door like the rest, I just used an eye mask though and it was fine. "
