"The rooms were very clean and the location was excellent. We were a short walk from the train station and also a nice walk to the Matsumoto Castle. The only negative experience was the free breakfast which was styrofoam dinner trays, individually wrapped croissants and a Japanese style breakfast which we did not find appetising. We did not participate and ate elsewhere."

"This is a delightful business hotel within easy walking distance of the JR station in Azumino, just a little ways up the track from the famous castle town of Matsumoto. The hotel is comfortable, convenient, and economical. The Route-Inn chain appears to have taken the business-hotel baton from the old Green Hotel chain--highly recommended."

"We picked this hotel to stay at while visiting Matsumoto because it was budget friendly and we were headed farther south to our next stop and I think it was a good pick except that the closest train was nearly a mile walk. Otherwise, the public bath, free buffet breakfast, eco-consciousness, and friendly staff made this stay great! "We spent two nights at this hotel in a Japanese style room. We found the room comfortable and spacious. I very much enjoyed the public bath in the hotel and visited AM and PM for a relaxing soak. The hotel is a quirky mix of modern and traditional and we appreciated this.We had a wonderful breakfast buffet each morning in the hotel restaurant and the staff was always gelpful and kind. We found everything very walkable to this hotel. The station, castle, art museum, shopping, restaurants and coffee/tea/sweets are not far. We would definitely stay here again and we really loved the vibe of Motsumoto!"

Wonderful choice - Pick this hotel

"Wonderful hotel. I will definitely come back. The bed is excellent, soft like clouds! I did not want to leave my bed in the morning. Breakfast selection is decent too. In your hotel room, there is very detailed muti-page recommendation of places and food to try. It is written in both japanese and english. The location is about 5mins from Matsumoto castle. Check if the castle does light up at night during your stay."
