"La Vista is set quite high up so if you're coming on the tourist bus (red line near stop 17) like us it's a bit of a mountain goat trek up the hill. If you have heavy bags it would be advisable to get a taxi. But when you get to the hotel the view is awesome. I think all the rooms have a view, and we were lucky that Mt Fuji was visible and the day was lovely. The bathroom and balcony overlook the settlement below and the mountain. "The open-air bath on the balcony was great. The meals were okay but not as good as we have had at upscale onsen hotels. The shuttle bus service was good, although the bus was not equipped to handle large baggage that foreign tourists usually have. There is not much to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel so you need to have the shuttle take you to the area around the train station."
