"Loved the stay at Kounso. The room was spacious and had extra bedding that could be used to fit your preference. I was not sure about the shared bath, but each room reserves time slots, so you do not bath with strangers. I loved the cypress bath, it was perfect after a long day. I chose not to use the room heater because of the kerosene smell. Instead, the kotatsu table kept me plenty warm for this time of year. "The place was beautiful. The owners were also extremely friendly, they offered to drive us to any restaurant in the area if we didn’t want to eat at a place within walking distance. Breakfast was also delicious and traditional. They also helped us get a bus reservation to our next destination and drove us to the bus stop. Highly recommend!"
