"I stayed here for one night with my wife. It’s right next to Gora station so very convenient. It was clean and modern and had a great little onsen too. The staff were brilliant - very happy to help. There was a good breakfast included with the room. I would definitely recommend."

"My family and I stayed here two nights just before Christmas. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The owner offers a shuttle bus during the morning hours to Gora Station, which is very helpful for getting to Hakone ropeway. Local restaurants were a bit unaccessible as it was off-season but this inn has its own great little restaurant kitchen. We had two dinners here and tried almost everything on the menu. "Staff are friendly and helpful, kitchen for cooking your own pwn meals is useful, all oils and sauces provided too. bar area is nice. Bathroom facilities are fine, seemed clean. Coin operated washer and dryer is very handy. Can smell because of sulphur onsens in the area. Very basic but i guess cheap for the area of Gora? Size of family room was good. Sleeping Mats aren't great, we doubled our up. But nosiy given agebof property, ok if other guests are considerate. Great for getting on...

"Our host (Tai) was very friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean, the location was excellent (very close to Gora Station) and it was affordable. The place could use a little fixing up. At least one bathroom stall was closed (inoperable), one shower operable but needed fixing, and in the rock onsen, one of the shower hoses was leaking. Great for budget but could be better if some maintenance was done."

"Room 0: uncomfortable bed (upper). Heater doesn't reach the lower bed. Hence, it's always cold. Room is tiny. The walls are thin. Floor is not clean under the bunk bed. Toilets are clean. Shower rooms are clean. Stayed for 3 nights. It's ok... Not that bad. It's just that I'll get a bad back every morning and super cold."

"We loved our time at Fuji Guesthouse. We stayed in their traditional Japanese room, which was spacious for the two of us the night before we began our Mt. Fuji ascent. Both staff members we interacted with were not only kind during our stay, but extended their hospitality beyond it, offering us to store our luggage while we were on the mountain, and allowing us to shower upon our return. It was a great experience in a small town. Next time I find myself in Fujikawaguchiko, I will certainly try...

"Property was on the lake and had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji if you’re lucky to have a clear day. My 3 kids and I stayed 2 nights and we had one beautiful clear morning. The place seems new and was stocked with everything you would need for simple meals. There was a washing machine and shower had shampoo, soap, etc. There are dining options close by and lots of sight seeing a short drive away. 7eleven close by to pick up snacks and few groceries if needed. "

"Beautiful hotel- lovely surroundings. Stayed in the corner room on the forest tower and the room was fantastic- lovely view. So nice to use the onsen on the sixth floor of this building. Staff of course are amazing. Do be sure to stroll the garden- so beautiful. Breakfast is an affair each morning- felt very pampered. Highly recommend."

"The property is a bit dated but well maintained, kept clean and in order. It worked out for our family looking for a relaxed and easygoing stay. When we walked for a morning stroll, we caught a beautiful and clear view of Mt Fuji. With rental car, we had access to a selection of restaurants, shops, and activities within the Lake Yamanakako area. But 7/11 is also just a few minute walk and the hotel offers breakfast and dinner for an affordable price. We would stay here again!"

Lovely Ryokan visit

"Amazing hospitality. We loved the whole vibe of a ryokan hotel. Strolling around the property in kimono was very relaxing. Having private balcony onsen was also amazing! Our only issue was the quality of meat received at the Japanese grill restaurant. One day is was great. The next day, the same cuts of meat were much tougher. "
