"Pros: amazing view of the volcano (we stayed in #4 and when we stepped out the door, the view was incredible), friendly and helpful staff, the farm (lots of farm animals and activities fun for everyone but esp for kids) and organic garden (not an official tour, but we got to meet the gardener in charge and he showed us around), individual bungalows that are generously sized, body lotion & even natural bug repellent lotion in the rooms, hot springs (small but was never crowded), animal sightings...

"This was the perfect spot for our family’s first time to La Fortuna and Costa Rica. If you don’t mind the drive into town for activities, which we didn’t at all, this place is quiet and beautiful! We loved sitting at both open-air restaurants and having a drink while our kids swam in the hot springs. The hiking trail and river slide/swimming were beautiful. We saw lots of birds and heard all the cicadas and howler monkeys in the evenings. We would definitely stay again!"

"Our stay at the Sangregado was excellent. It was the first time in Costa Rica for my family of four. I am so happy that our first experience was at the Sangregado. Our villa was clean, safe, and tucked into the jungle. It was convenient to be across the street from Mistico, but at night when the park cleared out, the setting was peaceful and serene.
