"Very friendly staff on reception and in the restaurant. Loved the smiling faces first thing! I had everything i needed in the room and was very pleased to have spring water provided. I was on the grohnd floor but wasn't disturbed by any noise from inside or outside the hotel. Only a short walk from Haymarket station and into the city. "

"The Place was a comfortable stay for my husband and I. As other reviews mentioned, there are no lifts in this hotel, so pack lightly! Our room was large and comfortable. If this is your first time, keep your keycard in the slot by the door to "power" the room. Every plug has a switch, including the TV. The Place is close to a lot of great eats and shopping, but we chose this specifically because it was close to the Edinburgh Bus Station to catch our 7:45am 1-day bus trip with Rabbie's Tours....
