"The hotel was a lovely place to stay. There were some issues with cleanliness in our room, hair in the bathroom, old food packaging under the bed. All issues that are easily resolved. We would stay at the hotel again. The staff were lovely and would do anything to assist you. There is a train station not far that takes you straight into the City centre and takes around 7 minutes. "Brae Guesthouse is a little ways out of downtown Edinburgh but just a 10-minute ride on a bus that goes by often. The owner was very nice and extremely helpful. I stayed there at the end of a trip in which numerous things had gone wrong, not least of which was having my wallet and phone stolen. The owner was more than kind and supportive, and made sure my stay was enjoyable. I highly recommend this property. "

"The property, service and cleanliness were excellent even though they were under staffed it did not affect the service. "If I could give this place ten stars, I would. Welcome sherry or whiskey upon arrival was a nice surprise. The place was elegant but homey; I never felt like I had to dress up for anything. Our apartment was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet, even though we were in a busy area and there was construction going on towards the back of the building. More than enough space for our family to stretch out and relax after long days of touring the city!
