"Came a bit early but could check in early. Room was perfect , and had a sea view.. Breakfast was very good.. Evenings after 22.00 were quiet although dogs nearby started their 'orchestra' every evening around 17.00. Staff were excellent and extremely helpful especially the receptionists. They even arranged a lovely lunch packet as we had a very early flight back. This was a cozy down to earth hotel."

"The hotel is very clean and in a beautiful location, the room was a good size. The food was not really to our liking but there are plenty of other restaurants in Funchal. I would not recommend hiring a car if you are a nervous driver, the roads are very narrow and steep!
