"This is an excellent hotel, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Madeira. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, everything is extremely clean, the breakfast is delicious with lots of choice. The room was big, tastefully decorated and well equipped with a comfy bed. The hotel is set in a botanic garden that’s a wonderful oasis and so relaxing. There is a great pool and other leisure facilities. There is also a tortoise. What more could you want? Look no further - stay here! "

"Great location - super convenient for the centre of Funchal and the old town and not much of a hill to go up to it. All staff fantastic and always smiling, really good breakfast, rooms good size and like the rest of the hotel very clean and tidy, views from the roof top bar/ pool superb - it was a really good choice for us! Couple of minor comments - - the pool was really cold! In fairness it is February but the sea was warmer. - when you get out of the pool the floor becomes really slippery...

"Beautiful property located in a great area walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We booked the Premier Suite which was lovely and spacious with a beautiful balcony overlooking Funchal. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast each morning was delicious. The grounds of the hotel are also lovely. Would definitely stay here again."
