"Hotel is well located between bus / train terminus and Chester city centre. It struggles with large influx of people at Sunday breakfast with queuing out the door at peak times. The 1 lift in the main hotel is also a. bottleneck at check in/ departure times. The TV in the bedroom was “elderly” and they deserve a revamp. Notwithstanding these observations we felt it was good value, the staff were welcoming and attentive. The gym facilities looked excellent."

"What a great hotel in a good location. The building is full of character with original build. So good to stay in hotel with a real history instead of sterile new builds. Reception staff and dining room staff were good and the breakfast was excellent. Would recommend this hotel for its quirkiness and original features."
