"Good clean basic hotel. Comfortable rooms. It’s a bit dated and furniture in rooms is tired but would stay again. All the staff I dealt with (reception, lady and a man) breakfast staff, room staff and bar staff were all friendly, helpful and lovely to deal with. "

"great property, easy location for getting out and about. 20 mins from Chester and shopping outlets, easy access to liverpool and Chester Zoo. They had great staff and great food (you've got to try the fish and chips). Parking was a challenge as the hotel is set between the canal locks, but the view was pretty and we fed the swans daily. We even saw the canal barges being worked."

"Really good place to stay. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was good. Very convenient to have the pub adjoining for breakfast and dinner. Parking was easy and there is a bus stop right outside that had a good service into Liverpool."

"What you want when you need a hotel for an overnight stay is warmth a decent TV and good beds and shower. Service is sort of secondary, however this hotel hit the mark everywhere. Well sized rooms a really good large TV and free room WiFi. It also didn't break the bank, hats off to them .. I would go back there in a heartbeat "
