"Great location. Older style hotel and our initial room was very poor and we were moved to an excellent room because the air conditioning didn’t work in the first one. The second room had excellent beds, aircon and space. The staff service was impeccable, particularly Miss Watanabe as she helped us with many things like booking restaurants and finding a good Onsen. The breakfast staff were also wonderful as were the cleaning staff and others at reception. The hotel is old but obviously some rooms...

"The rooms were very clean and the location was excellent. We were a short walk from the train station and also a nice walk to the Matsumoto Castle. The only negative experience was the free breakfast which was styrofoam dinner trays, individually wrapped croissants and a Japanese style breakfast which we did not find appetising. We did not participate and ate elsewhere."

"We only stayed here for one night. The location was super convenient. We didn't use the amenities much and didn't have breakfast at the hotel either. The room was super small. We managed as we had only a carry-on with us. Tall people or people with luggage might've found the room inadequate. Staff was very helpful, check-in and check-out were smooth and quick.
