Minor things, the pools and grounds were very nice though and we spent more time outside anyways."

"We enjoyed our stay here. The property itself is located conveniently off the main road. About a mile in each direction, north and south are beaches, shopping and dining. We had teenagers with us and they loved that freedom and convenience of walking to these activities. The Check-In process was easy enough. We booked two units and requested to be together. "Nice little place in very good location. 50 yard walk to water front Alii Street full of good restaurants. Very popular place. Would have been nice to have a table to eat at. I always found a place to park but parking is difficult. It is what it is. There was a $270+ fee added to my charge that I was not made aware of at time of booking. Otherwise it was a pretty inexpensive place to stay in an expensive destination"

"Ocean view. Great view of the ocean, loved the gentle sound of the surf. Close to shopping and Kona nearby. Unit needs mild upkeep but nothing serious. "

"We found The Big Island Rereat to be just as good as the pictures! It was easy to find right off Ali'i drive. Check in and out were both very easy. We stayed in the Ocean View room which was just as advertised. There is no AC which is in the room description so there was no surprise. Ceiling fan and to other larger standing fans kept the air moving through the room. There is a common area which has beach chairs to use and some snorkel gear and boogie boards as well and an outdoor kitchen...

"We loved our stay at the Kona Palace. The house is well maintained and beautifully furnished. Rebecca and her husband her very warm and welcoming. The breakfasts prepared by Rebecca each morning are delicious and feature fruits, as well as jams and preservers, all of from their own garden. We were introduced to the "soursop" fruit dueing our stay therem which was very tasty.The terracew where breakfast is served offers a breathtaking view of Kealekekua Bay. This is such a quiet and peaceful...

"Friendly owners. Great breakfasts. Rural atmosphere. If you would like to be away from hustle and bustle, this may be the place for you. I really enjoyed the private deck area in the mornings. Close to Captain Cook cove and two-step beach. "
