Great rooms, amazing property, owners are friendly, breakfast was better than most restaurants. It's nice and quiet, apart from the frogs and the roosters but you get used to that. Will stay here again if I ever get the chance to come back to Kona!

Mango sunset was the most expected stay in big island of our trip, and they met all of our expectations! The room was clean and comfortable. Heidi and Dan are very accommodating and made delicious breakfast. Had nice conversation with Heidi and introduced all kinds of plants in the farm. Definitely will stay again and recommend to whoever looking for a peaceful stay with beautiful views in Kona!

This place has the best hosts! Heidi and Dan don’t just keep the rooms and premises immaculate, enjoyable and comfortable- they provide delicious breakfasts and great recommendations to places of all types in the island. Mango sunset has a beautiful view of the ocean while enjoying your breakfast, reading a book, or playing a Hawaiian guitar (a guitar was in our room)! We will definitely go back!

The food was excellent and varied from day to day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were new, clean and safe. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return.

This place was the perfect first spot for our trip to the Big Island. Heidi and Dan were incredibly welcoming, expressed curiosity about us, and Heidi provided delicious breakfasts each morning. The BnB had a nice local feel on the farm and provided a friendliness among fellow guests each morning. The location was a convenient spot for our daily adventures around the west side of the island. Our room was spotless, the shower/bathroom very modern (loved the shampoo & conditioner!), and the bed was very comfortable. The dehumidifier in the room was both useful and a good white noise machine against the chatting frogs at night and the rooster in the morning. Though I initially thought the price per night was a bit high, the service, room, and location were truly perfect. Next time we come back to the Big Island, we will definitely be staying here again!

Our stay at Mango Sunset was only one night, and it was incredible. Heidi was accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with her, and she was helpful and kind, answering our questions. The breakfast was outstanding! I would love to stay longer next time. The room was spotless, the bathroom is luxurious, and we slept very well in the comfortable bed.

A peaceful escape overlooking Kona
Heidi and Dan were so kind, welcoming, and helpful! The location is secluded and quiet, and it offers a nice escape from the bustling town. We got a great dinner recommendation, and an amazing breakfast sourced primarily from the farm. We loved it!

We stayed at Mango Sunset for 7 nights, and Heidi and Dan were wonderful hosts! They're a couple of the most kindhearted and friendly people we've ever met. They offered suggestions on activities around the island and made sure we had everything we needed, including beach chairs and umbrellas. Every morning we looked forward to the breakfast, which included Kona coffee and fresh fruits from the farm. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There are a few areas to sit and enjoy the views and sunset. Highly recommend staying here!

The hosts Heidi and Dan are awesome. Very attentive and polite. Such pleasurable people. The room was immaculate and the grounds were pristine. Do recommend however, that if you have difficulty walking this maynot be a good place for you.

Mango Sunset is an updated, clean and comfortable property on a coffee farm high above Kailua Kona with exceptional views of the sea and sunset with amazingly attentive hosts. We stayed in a room with a lanai/patio that was perfect for relaxing, reading and enjoying a beverage while watching the sunset in the evenings. Our room was well-equipped with microwave, mini-fridge, silverware, coffee, soap/shampoo, a sitting area, etc. The room and bathroom felt very clean and modern (recently updated). What really made this stay special were the on-site hosts - Heidi & Dan. These folks really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, well-fed and well-equipped for our trip. Heidi asked about our plans for the day and offered beach towels and bags to make our lives easier. In the morning we enjoyed fresh-baked sourdough that Heidi had baked with local apple bananas, and a full breakfast wrap with delicious, fresh sides. They also made helpful recommendations to us for dinners in town during our stay. These hosts are real gems. Highly recommend! Mahalo Heidi & Dan!

I love how quiet the neighborhood was and surrounded by nature. The hosts were very commidating and helpful throughout our stay. They made sure we were comfortable and recommended us places to go to when we didn't have a plan for the day. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anybody who visits the island.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming Airbnb for two nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The breakfast offered by the host was not only unique but also exceptionally delicious—each dish seemed to be crafted with care and creativity, making mornings something to look forward to. The surroundings of the Airbnb were equally delightful, with breathtaking scenic views that provided a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere. It felt like a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. What made the stay even more special were the hosts, who turned out to be school teachers. Their kindness and genuine hospitality left a lasting impression—they made us feel right at home.
