This place has the best hosts! Heidi and Dan don’t just keep the rooms and premises immaculate, enjoyable and comfortable- they provide delicious breakfasts and great recommendations to places of all types in the island. Mango sunset has a beautiful view of the ocean while enjoying your breakfast, reading a book, or playing a Hawaiian guitar (a guitar was in our room)! We will definitely go back!

We stayed at Mango Sunset for 7 nights, and Heidi and Dan were wonderful hosts! They're a couple of the most kindhearted and friendly people we've ever met. They offered suggestions on activities around the island and made sure we had everything we needed, including beach chairs and umbrellas. Every morning we looked forward to the breakfast, which included Kona coffee and fresh fruits from the farm. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There are a few areas to sit and enjoy the views and sunset. Highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at Mango Sunset was only one night, and it was incredible. Heidi was accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with her, and she was helpful and kind, answering our questions. The breakfast was outstanding! I would love to stay longer next time. The room was spotless, the bathroom is luxurious, and we slept very well in the comfortable bed.

The hosts Heidi and Dan are awesome. Very attentive and polite. Such pleasurable people. The room was immaculate and the grounds were pristine. Do recommend however, that if you have difficulty walking this maynot be a good place for you.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming Airbnb for two nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The breakfast offered by the host was not only unique but also exceptionally delicious—each dish seemed to be crafted with care and creativity, making mornings something to look forward to. The surroundings of the Airbnb were equally delightful, with breathtaking scenic views that provided a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere. It felt like a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. What made the stay even more special were the hosts, who turned out to be school teachers. Their kindness and genuine hospitality left a lasting impression—they made us feel right at home. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to my colleagues and anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming stay.

I love how quiet the neighborhood was and surrounded by nature. The hosts were very commidating and helpful throughout our stay. Quiet retreat in beautiful surroundings
The property is beautiful. It's a bit of a steep road to get upto it. The breakfast was excellent prepared with some produce from the property. The rooms are new and basic with all amenities except AC. The shower would be better with a hand shower and some way to adjust the water pressure. The price is pretty steep for what it is but everything in Hawaii is expensive! Was perfect for a couple nights stay. Restaurants and shops are a little bit of a drive away.

Owners are passionate and wonderful. The rooms are a true delight. The gardens and coffee trees surrounding the lodgings are glorious, especially with the vast ocean views below. The breakfast was a well madentreat and the coffee was top notch. This is beyond a solid choice, it is a perfect choice.

This is a nice bed and breakfast located on a coffee farm in Kona. Janine made delicious breakfasts every day that we enjoyed with a beautiful view of the ocean. The communication was great. There is a phone number provided that you can text with any questions or updates to what time you will want breakfast the following day. Parking is very easy in a small lot close to the units. The room itself was also nice. There is a dehumidifier so that it stays comfortable especially since you most likely will keep the windows open due to no AC. It was pretty warm during our trip and we didn’t feel like we needed air conditioning at all. There’s only about 5 units so it feels very private and lowkey. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we will be back next time we are visiting Kona.
