"Very convenient location near Dominion Theatre and Oxford Street, tube and 176 bus stop very close that goes to Leicester Square and Strand/Covent Garden. Upgraded when checked in, lifts to room. Clean, good size room, lovely shower and clean facilities. One bar of soap and towels provided, no shampoo or body wash unlike other hotels. Tea, cofee kettle and fridge provided as well as a safe. Very good room for the price and location. Very welcoming staff as well. Place is currently being renovated per signs, but not affected by anything where I was. "

"Spent five glorious days at The Tavistock. Superb Staff, absolutely nothing was any trouble to them; excellent breakfast options, great food menu in both the bar area and the sublime Poppadom Restaurant. Comfortable and well appointed room. Great location. Truly impossible to fault."

"This is a great location but a very basic room. As the title suggests, this hotel is underground so there are no windows and the rooms are small. I would say it would be a struggle to have two people with two suitcases in the room. There are only two hooks for storage - no drawers, no wardrobe. If you are a light sleeper, be warn that you can hear the underground trains going past. For me, this room was everything I needed - a clean shower and a bed. I spent little time in my room and was looking for somewhere, near Oxford Street, to sleep. "

"Rooms have been decorated nicely since I last stayed a couple of things to complain one of my suitcases was opened in room nothing taken but someone opened it and check in time loads of people waiting to check in and only one person behind reception it’s a very busy hotel something wrong somewhere I had to complain and two more people came out "

"Check-in was efficient and welcoming. George was on reception and a really lovely guy, polite and courteous. Our room was a small twin room on the 3rd floor (there was a lift). Compact bathroom with shower and toilet. Kettle, hair dryer provided with sachets of tea and coffee. Flat screen TV with Freeview. Simple, clean, compact room, perfect to use as a base. 5 minute walk to Kings Cross and lovely pubs minutes away. Camden Market is a 35min walk. Will definitely stay again when back in London.
