"Liked the room for size and comfort. The ability to bring animals. Did not like the restaurant food. Some breakfast items were inedible ie berry compote. No choice of milk if vegan ie Almond milk. There were some very unhealthy choices. Was not happy about a 50m electricity pylon outside my window. "

"We loved the Holt and will certainly be back. The beds are bit firmer than we like, but that's a matter of taste. Everything else was picture perfect - Samuel behind the bar is knowledgeable and friendly, and the restaurant food is exquisite! "

"The most comfortable and friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff was amazing and the accomodations were excellent. The Crown restuarant was also outstanding, both staff and food. "

"The bedrooms are a two block building which is separate from the country inn. They are located behind the Inn. We found the room and bathroom to be clean. The bed was comfortable.There was instant hot water when needed.The food was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly."

"Quite dated hotel with lovely manager . Sup comfortable bed and smashing shower . Walk all day in Oxford . Walk home to hotel . Plenty of dining and beverage options . We had a great comfortable stay "

"Not too far from the centre of town for a shop or extra facilities, however, close enough to a main road to hear traffic during the day, not an issue. Would have liked to be able to stream or cast to the rooms television as me and the other half just wanted to relax during our stay, however, that's a very specific want and has no bearing on the accommodation. All in all, was a lovely weekend away, relaxing and the staff were ever so lovely."

"The mattress felt a little soft for me, but I'm a hefty bloke. I had dinner in the pub and it was excellent. Room was fine, would have been a bit of traffic noise if I'd kept the window open at night... But it's near a road! "
