"i was given a warm reception on arrival and this theme carried on throughout my three night stay. The room i was allocated was excellent, clean, warm and spacious with a ensuite shower and plenty of storage space. The bar / restaurant area was a pleasure to enjoy the food was outstanding and the company likewise. It is a long time since i have a enjoyed such a warm atmosphere and will be returning again when i am in the area, thank you Mark."

"Lovely old world hotel. Nice breakfast. The only fault was we were put in a room at top of the building, 4 landings and 36 stairs. Although elderly we managed but with some impaired mobility it wouldn't be good. Suggested to manager that they put a note on the site for this room booking. It was also a shared bathroom which was my fault for not reading it properly. "

"a great find! Despite the roadworks this hotel was quiet and very conveniently located for the new theatre. We even managed two different circular walks along the canals and rivers in different directions from the hotel. Parking was included as well as a great breakfast. would definately stay again!"

The check in was straight forward and you're given a printed sheet to put in the front of the car to cover parking in the pay & display at the rear of the building. The old concrete perimeter track on the site of RAF Southrop Sheep pasture now but between 1940 and 1947 this was a relief landing ground known as RAF Southrop used by Oxford and Harvard training aircraft. Records indicate that this large flat area east of Cirencester proved an ideal grass landing strip.
