The room, bathroom and kitchen were very clean and the kitchen was stocked up on breakfast items. I think the only couple of negatives were that the steps up to the door are steep so you do have to watch your step. "As an over hundred year old building, I think its condition is good enough. It is closed to Liverpool Central but on a quiet street. Suitable for weekend visit. People are friendly and helpful. I can tell some of the roommate stay there for long. They are working in the hostel and interact like family. However, as there is only one public toilet, it is difficult to manage cleanness. Luckily, their shower is not bad. I put a bit lower rate on eco-friendly because the shower cannot completely...

"It was fine for what we needed, a room to sleep in after a concert at Anfield and before our early morning train. We booked the lodge well aware of the neighbourhood and the condition of the property. 25 mins walk from Anfield. To be honest, it exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and warm and there was a little welcome tray with biscuits. The only issue was that there were no towels and we had to request them."
