"A great, affordable hotel right by Gora station - perfect location for exploring Hakone. We opted for a private room which was lovely and comfortable. The onsen facilities are only open to guests and while small are very pleasant, and the number of people is limited at any one time. Even the snacks and drinks in the minibar were very reasonably priced and locally sourced. Thoroughly recommended!"

"The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Provided what we needed at request. We wish was that in them knowing we had a vehicle, that they were able to direct us to a nearby parking lot with affordable pricing. The signs are confusing at times. We ended up paying ¥3400 the first night for overnight parking and ¥6100 the second night in the nearby lots. Other than that, the room was clean except a little black mold near the AC unit. Deep. cleaning could be better. Happy with our 2 night stay...

"A beautiful traditional style (but modern) hotel close to the station at Yumoto in the heart of Hakone. Ideal base for exploring the mountains, spas and lakes around Mount Fuji."

"The staff is very accomodating. We arrived early around 2pm, and the owner let us checked in around that time. It was supposed to be 3pm. The bedroom is also much bigger in person and its also clean! Will probably go back again next year! Thank you"

"The facility was well organized and pleasant. Seemed like a converted warehouse. The room was well done with tatami mat, beautiful wood doors and ceiling panels. I was travelling without a car and it was storming at night. This made it difficult to get to town for dinner. I found the Hana Cafe nearby on Google maps. It turned out to be very pleasant. "Friendly staff and great communication via WhatsApp before and after check-in. It’s definitely a Japanese-style bed (firm for us Westerners) and limited/tight parking, but everything else was fantastic. The private hot spring-fed outdoor wooden tub was a great bonus."
