"As a young Canadian couple, we definitely felt the mood was a little old-school and maybe not as warm as anticipated. Nothing was wrong with our stay, it simply didn’t feel as cool or luxurious as we would have liked. Also, very few foreigners were staying at the hotel. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the private tatami room and private onsen bath with a great view on Ito Be careful: guest with tattoos can’t access the communal onsen."

"The property was very clean and spacious. The hosts instructions were very clear with lots of information about nearby shopping, restaurants and hot springs. "I did not have high expectations but this was worse than I thought it would be. There was a lot of food but it was not very good, both dinner and breakfast. "Amazing hotel with excellent food, drinks and views. Had a room with the hot tub on the terrace and I was using this a lot during my two day stay. One word of caution if you come by train and with luggage: the slopes are very steep so I suggest to use a taxi which will set you back around 1250 JPY."
