"This is a larger-sized house hotel, I arrived late but the host was staying up and then was invited into the house, was made a coffee and shown to the room. Many steps have been taken to make the place operate as a hotel, I stayed a few nights and felt I would be welcomed back."

"Comfortable bed and nice linens and fluffy new towels. Good tea and coffee sachets plus toiletries. Room was a little too warm but not a huge problem."

"We always enjoy staying here, the rooms are so clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. It was a Sunday so we got to enjoy an amazing Sunday roast which was delicious and a great size. The place was buzzing, great atmosphere in this well supported venue! "

Good communication and instructions prior to stay. "The Hen House has only a few rooms.. Huge tea bags, hot choc etc. in room.. Nice friendly pub, in a delightful village. The only thing missing, was bed side table lamps! I slept well left feeling relaxed Thank you "

"I felt unsafe staying here as a lone female traveller and would not recommend it to anyone travelling alone - the only think that made me feel better was barricading the door with the chair in the room as the lock was loose "

A slept in bed, dirty sheets, one towel, a vile shared bathroom, questionable communal areas, people loitering in hallways repeatedly trying bedroom doors, poor lighting, dirty and stained carpets and the area around the property is badly lit and seems generally unsafe. Poor contact from owners with an air of contempt when contacting them to gain access to the property because they hadn’t sent passcode details for the main access door.
