"Not impressed with service (when compared to the amazing service that you often get in most other Japanese hotels), I asked if they could help us with a cab and they said they had a charge for that help. It was a minimal (500 yen) charge but it was more about the principal for us. "Nice hotel close to Tokyo station and Ginza district. Room was a bit small but it is Tokyo after all. Massage chair in the room was perfect. Good breakfast, with japanese and western choices."

"The staff was off the charts friendly and the room spacious. Our room had two ‘twin’ beds adjacent to each other which was wonderful. More like two American double beds together. Bedding and bath clean and immaculate. Room was spacious and upper floor views were spectacular. Would definitely stay there again. "

"I had a great experience at Daiichi Inn. We arrived early but they stored our luggages for us. Staff were very polite and kind. The location could not be better than this- 1-2 minute walk from Ikebukuro station. Given the location, I had expected it to be noisy through the day and night, but surprisingly the noise level was low and I slept very well. I recommend their breakfast- it is worth paying extra for sure. "
