"The room worked very well for three of us! It was clean, well outfitted, sufficiently spacious, with comfortable beds/seating, and having in room laundry facilities was great. It’s a short walk to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, two train stops, and a lot of food/coffee/shop options. This was a great base for exploring Kyoto."

"Absolutely amazing stay! Everything was taken care of to very small details. Staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was great! Within walking distance from Arashiyaman Bamboo Grove. Would recommend to people who want to try a ryokan and onsen for the first time."

JR WEST GROUP VIA INN PRIME KYOTOEKI HACHIJOGUCHI

"You can go around the corner and be at an elevator to get to the Shinkansen gate at the Kyoto Station. We stayed five nights and the room served the purpose. Breakfast places in the area do not open till 9 or 10, so plan on eating at a convience store or one of the hotel dining. Breakfast was more expensive in Kyoto than all other cities we went in Japan. This hotel has some Western items as choices but mostly Asian."

"The hotel is located at the edge of Arashiyama park, so super convenient and walkable to the river band, the park observation point, the Seiryiji temple and bamboo forest, as well as the down town shopping/dinning area, yet, it is also sitting at a pretty quiet location. You can also walk cross the Togetsukyō bridge to the other side for the Monkey park, etc. The hotel room is very spacious, also offer hot spring pools for both female and male. The taxi ride from train station is not bad either. With all the items we loved as tourists, we would definitely recommend it to our friends. Thanks. "

"Amazing service and room. On check in, service desk has kindly inform us that our original room has an issue with the private bath and that they are still working on it. They kindy offered us an upgraded room which we happily accept. Turns out the upgraded room was so amazing that it left us with the best impression of what Japan has to offer. We are grateful for Togetsutei’s amazing hospitality."
