"Stayed for 2 nights during a recent trip to Edinburgh. Location is good, a few minutes from Haymarket station or a 20 min walk to the Castle area. Reception staff were friendly, but we only saw them once during our stay. A warning for those on the top floor, there's no lift and it's a long way up after a day of sightseeing! "Beautiful hotel - inside and outside. We were treated wonderfully well and all the staff were so welcoming and engaged with our young daughter. We loved the little Easter treats they gave her. The breakfast is truly something else and needs to be seen to be believed. Such a huge choice of foods which were presented attractively. Excellent room - really spacious and loved the full sized toiletries in the bathroom. A truly special place that we will definitely be staying at again."
