The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect – just a short walk to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Breakfast was great for a decent price. "Really enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. The suites(we had 2) were very spacious and comfortable. I was a bit surprised that the beds couldn’t be separated into twins, as there were clearly 2 single mattresses, topped by a queen mattress. Not every guest at the hotel is a couple, as in our case, a brother and sister( one slept on the sofa bed, which wasn’t as comfortable as the bed.
