"Super convenient location to Old Town, right next to a cute little park and museum. It was a little noisy later on in the night as the bar hoppers started coming back to their rooms. We were unfortunately in a room right in front where everyone walks through but that’s just our luck. Great for the one night we needed. "

"My son and I have stayed at the Ayres Hotel Carlsbad several times. When my son was very young, we stayed there when we were visiting Legoland. Now that my son is 10, we stay there because he has ice hockey games in Carlsbad. We bring our dog because the fee for her is really reasonable. The hot breakfast is the best I've found so far! We love staying at Ayres. Susan K."

"The Best Western Del mar was very convenient, close to La Jolla/UCSD and the beaches and recreational areas nearby, such as Torrey Pines State Park. Staff was super-helpful, pointing out hiking trails, restaurants, etc that added much to our enjoyment"
