"Really enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. The suites(we had 2) were very spacious and comfortable. I was a bit surprised that the beds couldn’t be separated into twins, as there were clearly 2 single mattresses, topped by a queen mattress. Not every guest at the hotel is a couple, as in our case, a brother and sister( one slept on the sofa bed, which wasn’t as comfortable as the bed. The breakfast was very good, lots of hot and cold choices, great coffee. The breakfast area in the hotel is quite small and breakfast time tended to be chaotic, an issue which I’m sure other guests have commented on.The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location for us was great as it was close to the university, and easy walking distance to the many attractions of beautiful Edinburgh. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family👍👍😀"

"This hotel was centrally located in old town Edinburgh within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and historic sites. My favorite aspect was drinking coffee in my hotel room while enjoying a spectacular view of the castle. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and the pool looked great but we spent our time enjoying the city. I can’t wait to come back to Edinburgh and when I do I’ll definitely stay at this hotel again. "
