"Pro: Great hotel right on the beach - literally the other side of the low hotel wall is the beach. You could not get closer. MANY, MANY great restaurants within 100yds of the hotel and easy walk, even at night. Flamingo and Tamarindo beach are very short drive, but you have a great beach and all amenities at this hotel. Good hotel to end a trip when you are leaving from LIR which is 1 hr drive away. This was our 2nd visit in 10 years and we would come again. Cons: A bit pricey, but not outrageous. Check out is noon and hard to change with this popular hotel. If you leave from LIR when flights leave at 6pm then you have a lot of time to spare, but hotel will hold suitcases after checkout and you can still enjoy the amenities."

The cleaners were like elves cleaning the space around us. The staff was always there to help. Concierge was amazing as well. Setting up our trips, making last minute changes - service with a smile. "This is a nice property, exactly as described/pictured, in an area that marries modern-comfort with local influences. Both Lis (property manager) and Dave (host) were available & responsive as needed, & we truly appreciated that. Lis provided a solution to the laundry situation, which we appreciated but did not need to utilize. The unit is well equipped & the area is easily accessible by good paved roads; no scary approaches! Should we come back to the area, I would not hesitate booking Casa Roberta"

"We are 2 couples in our 60’s. The set up of the house was perfect for us. We each had a bedroom on the end of the house. We did have a 3rd couple join us for 3 nights and they stayed in the lower bedroom. If we’d been 3 couples staying the entire time it might have come down to drawing the short straw to see who took the lower level bedroom. The property is set up on a hill - therefore the view is spectacular! We did not rent a car so we used Uber or we walked everywhere. The hill would be a climb if you are not in good physical shape. We walked all 3 of our beaches daily and really enjoyed that. We also spent lots of time under the gazebo or in the pool. The purpose of our trip was to rest, relax, and enjoy the heat, good food, and the beauty of Costa Rica!Walking into town along Playa Potrero is a much safer option than the road but check the tide charts. Potrero had many good restaurants and we tried numerous ones but not all of them. The staff at the house were friendly and very helpful. We had to resort to Google translate sometimes as none of us speak very much Spanish. We enjoyed the company of the dogs, especially Bella, as she was most affectionate and happy to hang out with us. Lovely home with a well set up kitchen and as I mentioned, spectacular views. Great to watch the sunset or the boats on the ocean. Our hosts were responsive and helpful and I highly recommend this property."

"We rented this beautiful home with a group of friends. Convenient location to small market and restaurants. The kitchen was very well equipped, we made several meals and found everything we needed to cook. The house and outdoor space was large so we had plenty of area to spread out to enjoy our time. The house manager Arturo responded immediate to questions about activities and restaurants.
