INCREDIBLE
Such an incredible place to stay! We had a group of 10 people and we had plenty of room in the house. The house is absolutely beautiful, right on the beach and walking distance to so many cool restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are coming to Potrero.

Absolutely fabulous home!
We absolutely loved this property! We loved the location right on the beach, to die for sunsets, and great location to everything we wanted to do while in Costa Rica. The owner was very responsive and helpful prior to our arrival and Thomas and Janet were a pleasure to work with while there. We had several meals prepared by them and it was so good! Thank you!

Amazing views!!!
A group of 10 of us had an incredible week at Greg’s place. That view never gets old! The location is great, just a small walk to restaurants, shops and the grocery store, we also rented a golf and ventured out a bit further. Greg is very responsive and helpful with everything! Playa Potrero is an awesome little town and we all can’t wait to go back!

Excellent vacation. The Villa and property were well maintained. Private security guard made us feel safe. Tomas cooked several excellent meals snd Janet have very good massages. Derwin was great arranging all transports and excursions. Chip worked out great with the golf cart rentals. Great private location. Jimmy was also fantastic very dependable.

Amazing Vacation!!
We had an amazing time visiting Costa Rica and staying at this lovely home. Greg and McKenzie were super responsive and helpful...really great to work with! The house is beautiful and it was amazing to be right on the beach and have a pool. The service providers they use are fantastic! We loved utilizing Janet's spa services and she was very professional. Tomas's food was very good. Alexandra at LEP and Chip at golf cart rentals both went above and beyond to help us and ensure we had the best experience possible. We would definitely like to go back again!

The Perfect Family Beach Vacation Home
We stayed here for Spring Break 2011 with 2 grandparents, 4 parents, & 7 kids ages 3 1/2 to 12, and it was the perfect place for everyone! Janet & Tomas are so wonderful. The beach has the perfect wave for swimming & body boarding, and you can be sitting in the pool watching the beach the whole time! We found our 3 favorite restaurants to walk to, our favorite market to get our daily supply of fruit & veg, and our favorite tour guide in Dervin. He took us on a great zip line tour that all the kids could do, a day trip to Tamarindo for surf, and another to Playa Cochal for some amazing snorkelling. We all took turns taking out the kayaks & fishing with poles that we'd brought along. This was the perfect home for a spectacular vacation - we will be coming back!!

Great House, right on the beach with unimpeded 180 degree view, sunsets were magical. My daughters loved riding horses on the beach right up to the house. 3-4 great restaurants in Potrero and Flamingo. House keepers Janet and Tomas were the nicest. If festival in Brasalitto during visit - go see the bull riding. House had very large bedrooms and separate baths all new and very nice. Only negative were roads were in tough shape to get to Potrero due to very wet summer. It is Costa Rica.

Most amazing sunset views on the Playa!
We loved our visit to Potrero! The owner Greg was so helpful to us in advance of our trip giving us recommendations of local restaurants and answering our endless questions (this was our first time to Costa Rica). He is a truly gracious host. And the property manager was also very responsive to any questions we had. Regarding the house itself, you could not be closer to the ocean! And the sunset views were stunning. We spent time every sunset in the infinity pool relaxing and watching the dramatic sky changing colors, each sunset unique, never repeating itself from one evening to the next. Truly inspiring! We also rented golf carts which really paid off as we were able to explore all of Potrero without the complications of a rental car. Our family will be talking about this trip for years to come!

This house is incredible…my favorite vacation spot ever. We liked it so much that we will be reserving again in 2023 (but I will not say when so the date stays open😊). Greg and MacKenzie are wonderful owners….very engaged and helpful before, during, and even after our trip. Tomas and Janet are so nice and we’re always there for us. Be sure to ask Tomas to prepare meals for you…muy delicioso! The area is spectacular, but the house itself is by far the best part. Pool is amazing and literally right on the beach. Steps away from a very calm ocean, and the sunsets are the prettiest I’ve ever seen. Mix in a sunset cruise with Dervin, golf cart rentals from Jennifer and Chip (definitely do this), cows wandering around the beach and drinking from our pool (you read that correctly!!)… just can’t say enough about this house, these people and this area. Incredible stay by the ocean
I was blessed to be able to spend my 50th birthday at this property. We had such a wonderful time, and watching the sunsets every night from the house was magical. The location was perfect with many wonderful places to eat only a short walk away. The team at the house was spectacular making us feel very cared for. A huge shout out to Tomas, Janet and Juan Carlos. Make sure you get a massage from Janet. She had magical hands. Jimmy our chef, fed us beautiful breakfasts every morning. We could not ask for a thing more. My only complaint was the obnoxious security light in the back area. I realize it’s there for a reason but it would be nice to be able to turn it off. It obscures the view of the night sky and stars and shines into the bedroom on that side making it hard to sleep. Other than that, no complaints.

Great Place wonderful Host
Just got back from the property. I cant say enough about the house, the owner and Tomas, Janet and especially Dervin. When we arrived we had a couple of hiccups but after a call to Greg they were quickly resolved and being he was in area at the same time stopped by introduced himself and made sure all was ok. He even lent us his personnel fishing rod to go fishing. Tomas is a wonderful chef and his creations were amazing. Each one of us got a massage from Janet even a mini massage for our 5 year old granddaughter. What ever we needed we placed a call to Dervin and he was on it immediately no matter what time it was or what we needed. We went jet skiing, horse back riding, ATV tour and Fishing was a wonderful experience and hope to be able to return one day. Thank you Greg God bless you and your family

Unforgettable week in paradise at the Villa Corazon Del Mar!
The Villa Corazon Del Mar is an amazing place to vacation in Costa Rica on Potrero Beach. The villa has all the amenities that you need for the week of a lifetime! Located directly on the beach, the villa has spacious 5 bedrooms and bathrooms with a full kitchen and great room. All bedrooms have AC and fans are located throughout the house. The kitchen has all items needed for cooking or you can book Tomas, the caretaker and chef, for preparing a gourmet meal at a reasonable price, better than any restaurant! Janet is also available for housekeeping and offers full spa services, her massage was truly superior! The owner was great to work with, very prompt with inquiries. There are lots of excursions locally such as snorkeling, deep sea fishing, kayaking, biking, beach ATV adventure, and sailing to name a few or you can just relax at the house and feel like you are in paradise! Supermarkets and restaurants are close by as well. We stayed in the villa the week before Christmas, great weather in December. You will not regret booking this villa, Pura Vida!

Dream Destination
Villa Corazon was an absolute beautiful home and property. We could not have asked for a better experience. The location was steps from the black sandy beach. The pool was perfect for the evenings after a long day of exploring and the sunsets were breathtaking. The layout of the homes was perfect for our two families (total of 11 of us). Each bedroom provided its own privacy with bathroom and air conditioner, making it very comfortable. The kitchen was adequate for our needs, there were plenty of plates, utensils, pans and cups. Also nice to have laundry facilities on the premises, we went threw a lot if towels. Tomas and Anna were a pleasure and very helpful with information. It was also nice to have the extra security on the property that I believe was Tomas' son. We stayed a total of 7 days - we enjoyed going to Hemingways and La Forketta. It was easy to get around town with the use of the Golf Carts from Chip and Jennifer. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property, we would definitly stay here again in a minute.

A good time was had by all. Plenty of space and activities for all the adults and kids (14 of us). Tomas did a great job of taking care of us and giving advice while we were at the Villa. We did not use him to arrange all activities. But whenever we needed assistance he was very helpful. Not to mention that he and Janet prepared three dilicious meals for the whole clan. Would difinitely recommend that route for a few dinners at the least. I will echo the comment of my brother (Brian Vos) about the transportation. Some of the activities would have been nigh unto impossible to find had we been driving ourselves. Also, they are not kidding about "Visa, it is everywhere you want to be" since at the Banco de Costa Rica you are out of luck with MasterCard. Also found the ATMs to be without American dollars every time we tried them. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Hi Joan,We are finally settling back to reality after a wonderful week at Corazon del Mar. We wanted to thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home. It was the perfect house for a group of 13 to enjoy and experience the many splendors of Costa Rica. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation, from lounging at the pool, walking the beach, watching the sunsets, dining at the Castillo Bakery to amazing excursions like the Congo Trail Zip Line, the Lazy Lizard Sunset Cruise and the Palo Verde River Cruise where we were able to feed the white faced monkeys (shhh.. this is a big secret!). Please thank Thomas and Janet as they were wonderful hosts, never invasive but always there when you need them. They are fabulous cooks! Thomas makes the best guacamole, which he was kind enough to teach us to make ourselves. The meals they prepared were so delicious! Thank you also Winston for being our taxi to the SuperMarket! It was also a delight to have Sasha and Suzie greet us good morning every day. “This was the best vacation ever” was the quote by many of us during our stay. We had a great time and many laughs! We stayed here about a month ago. It is fantastic......beyond words. I don't think you can find a better place to stay! Tomas and Janet are wonderful!!! Tomas makes you feel so safe and secure. You walk out the back door to the pool, and walk another fifty steps and you are at the ocean. It is quite, peaceful, and the most beautful place I have been. I can hardly wait to go back. I have recommended this villa to several people. Tomas and Janet will help you plan your adventures, and even arrange them for you. My husband and I went with my sister, my son, my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter. The place was so big you never got in each other's way. Each room has its own bath, and the kitchen bar is gigantic!!! My only advice is to find the grocery store called Masai. It is very close to the villa, and has a much bigger selection, as well as being much cheaper than the Surfside Market or Wendys. Also, the owner is fantastic to work with, and will answer all your emails promptly. She was very helpful when we were getting ready to go and I had questions about the villa or the area. You can not find nicer people to work with than Joan, Tomas, and Janet. If you have never booked a villa online before and are worried, don't be. This is everything advertised and more!

Christmas in Costa Rica
Our family of 11 loved the house & area of Costa Rica. We picked this house over other choices because of the quiet beach, en suite bathrooms, awesome sunset view, good reviews, & pool. We weren’t disappointed. The owner emailed & called me to answer my detailed questions. We highly recommend yellowfin and used them for airport transportation (very easy to find), surf lessons (all 5 participants could surf by the end of the lesson), zip lining (through huge wild cashew nut & Guanacaste trees), and a 44 foot catamaran rental (employees were very kind to our 77 year old mother and lunch was yummy). We found the house well stocked with supplies and loved cooking together while looking out at the wonderful view. The sunsets each evening were a reason to stop what we were doing & watch together with a glass of wine. We enjoyed buying & cooking with local ingredients from the Super Wendy. We took a golf cart, but could have walked. After visiting busy Tamarindo, we were even happier with our quiet beach. We appreciated all the seating groups inside & outside the house. Four women of our group enjoyed massages from Janet. My 10 year old son found lots of sand dollars on our beach. It was beautiful to swim while looking at mountains. The house came with beach towels, boogie boards, & 2 kayaks. We would come back and recommend to friends.

Awesome Vacation Location!
Location, location, location - this property is hard to beat! Our group consisted of three adult-couples. The beach/ocean/view and pool were all AMAZING! We spent hours lounging in and around the pool, swimming and fishing in the ocean and walking the beach. The sunsets were outstanding and provided a great show every night. The house has a great set up with plenty of outdoor space to lounge, cook and dine. It also has an open kitchen/dining area inside making it easy for people to gather/hang/cook and eat. The bedrooms provided any needed privacy (along with AC and ensuite bathrooms)! The biggest problem was not wanted to leave the house to explore Potrero and the surrounding areas! However, exploring is a must! It was great to have so many things close by. There are grocery stores, restaurants, and bars all within a few miles. There are numerous beaches nearby each with its own characteristics and bars and restaurants. We walked or drove golf carts almost everywhere we went. We highly recommend renting golf carts from Chip & Jennifer - the golf carts made everything more accessible. Chip and Jennifer were wonderful to work with and provided very helpful information about the area! We also utilized Yellowfin for our airport transportation as well as a few excursions. Dervin, Daniel and their crew were great and super easy to work with. A special thanks to Jeffery for driving us around and showing us some amazing sights! And to Freddy for the snorkling/fishing assistance! It was an amazing vacation at an unbeatable location. We can’t say enough good things about the villa, the people, and the area!! Thank you!

Family Vacation in Paradise!
Perfect Place for a Multi-Family Vacation! We stayed at Villa de Corazon October 13 to October 20, 2018. Our group included three families with four kids, ages 8-9, a teenager and 6 adults. The rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds and each had its own bathroom. The kitchen/great room was spacious enough to accommodate all of us and the view was fantastic – the on line photos of the pool, beach and sunset fail to capture the beauty of the view. The beach was, at most, 25 feet from the backyard pool and we rarely saw anyone walk by. The on-site boogie boards provided hours of fun in the waves and the pool was welcoming and relaxing after we finished chasing waves. Playa Potrero is a quiet town with a local feel and, given that we were there during the low season, we encountered very few tourists. The restaurants were all within walking distance and we would highly recommend the Beach House, Perla’s and The Shack! There were also a few supers (“markets”) within walking distance that were well stocked with food, libations and other necessities. Janet and Tomas were wonderful – and exceeded our expectations! Janet cleaned daily, except on Sunday, and we had Tomas and Janet prepare a Costa Rican meal complete with fajitas, enchiladas, fish tacos and veggies. The leftovers lasted us throughout the week, which leads to our only complaint – there were no storage containers, plastic wrap, foil, etc. for all our leftovers. There were also security guards who patrolled the area a night, which added a level of comfort. Lastly, we were so impressed with the owner, Greg Pappas, he was available via phone and email to answer any questions and make certain our vacation was wonderful. We would highly recommend Villa Corazon Del Mar and cannot wait to return to paradise!
