The rooms are excellent, clean, warm and all the facilities you expect. And absolute value for money. And did I mention the food? Fantastic menu, great service and worth every penny. "Although the pub wasn't open due to the holiday season when we were visiting, it was a lovely stay! Great shower, room was comfortable! If traveling as an American, you might find that top flat sheets are not common. We requested one additional one with staff, and they were lovely to work with. Friendly and helpful! Comfortable bed!"

"This is the second time we have stayed here and it is a good place for The Hackney Empire. We enjoyed our stay. Dinner is available on site but not breakfast. There are available places to have breakfast on the high street. There are no lifts in The Old Ship just stairs and there are two flights. The staff are very helpful and informative. Nothing is too much trouble. The Old Ship caters for all age groups. We will definately stay here again. "
