"We arrived about 40 mins before check in time and parked our car in the last space in the hotel's carpark. I went in to explain that we were going to leave our car and the very friendly lady on reception told us that we could check in early. We stayed in a lovely room that had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. That evening we had a few drinks in the very popular bar but we didn't eat in the restaurant (we had other plans). "This was a good spot to explore the area from. Only a short drive to a few spots nearby and the onsite restaurant was good. Nice carvery. The staff were excellent. Our only issues were a toilet that didn't flush properly and a shower that had a wonky temperature regulator. They called the plumber for us but we were only there for one night so it couldn't be fixed until the next day. Good value for the money."

"We only stayed for one night to break up a journey to Liverpool so didn't see everything the hotel had to offer. Bar staff were particularly impressive - efficient and attentive even though there were a lot of customers and a wedding reception going on too. A pleasant place to stay."
