"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very good for the various activities we had planned. The gondola was about a 20 minute walk and was not too onerous, although there is a steep hill on the return, which you just take your time. The room was comfortable, with a kitchenette."

"Perfect location! Central/downtown without being very expensive. Made popping out to shops/pubs/restaurants so easy. Our 3 day trip was to attend a wedding in Wanaka. We drove down from Christchurch so was great being able to park the car safely there. Will definitely stay there next time."

"The location was amazing and compensated for any of the minor imperfections (dated and rather musty smelling toilet). Being so close to the lake and to all the shops and restaurants is simply amazing. For the price, it’s a great and affordable accommodation! "

"The room we had was nice and furnished well. They charge per person in the room and our 3 year old is considered an adult. There is a shuttle service to town which is nice. It fills up fast so book ahead. A brewery is close by and on a scenic river. The NZ police decided to setup a check point on the road out front just past the park. "We enjoyed the location, except for the lack of parking spaces. The rooms were good, but the coffee bags provided should probably be at least two for a room for two. It was a quick five minute walk to the Kawarau River track which is great."

"We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Although the room was described as no-view, we found there was a view of the Lake and the Remarkables from a large window. The staff were so helpful and kind. Parking on site is a real plus in Queenstown. The room was clean and comfortable. Its a bit of a walk to town but not too bad. "

"The Lakeside rooms have a beautiful view of the lake. Offerings at the restaurant/bar were enjoyable and creative. Somewhat limited selection for lunch/dinner but we had four different mains and all were excellent. We parked in the underground garage which has limited parking although not a problem finding spots during the end of March. Mattress in bed was very nice for sleeping and all the other amenities were good. No microwave in the room type I chose, I think it was the only stay in NZ without a microwave."
