"I had a fairly good experience at the Wafer 450, a small motel located in Santa Clara. The neighborhood seemed safe, and within walking distance of a few chain restaurants such as El Pollo Loco. The motel is conveniently located off a major Santa Clara road (El Camino Real), and within a few miles away from San Jose Airport. The bedroom was clean, the furnishings simple. "I usually don't leave reviews. I am busy. Every single place I go, restaurants, airlines, oil change place, supermarkets, etc. all want me to give my review. C'mon...does anyone have that much free time? But, after staying three different times at Quality Inn in Santa Clara, they deserve a reveiw from me. Each time I've stayed at this motel, it's been a good experience. Have made contact with several of the staff here. Everyone has a smile and conveys a genuine concern in ensuring everything is satisfactory for guests. Check-in goes smoothly and professionally. The complimentary breakfast is a nice amenity. The buffet is a good (not a typical "continental breakfast which is like coffee and a pastry or some cheap roll) and is more something you'd expect from a more expensive hotel. Beds are quite comfortable, and the towels are really nice. Not the crummy cheap ones you find in the vast majority of motels in this price range. When I travel back to this area, I will book Quality Inn again. I am glad I discovered a good and affordable place to stay. In this case, the name "Quality Inn" really matches the experience.
