For example, my room had a traditional pueblo-style fireplace (kiva) with firewood and matches that got replenished every morning. I travel a ton throughout the world...

Single pane window - room freezing so got space heater and 2 extra blankets). Taos Inn is the real deal just know that historic places are charming and challenging.
