"There are several “luxury” options for accommodations in El Centro. This property was perfectly located. The breakfast that was included was delicious. The concierge and front desk staff were very helpful. The rooftop pool area was very special. The rooms were large and clean. The hotel was not noisy and the room were set back from the street. "I will be recommending Townhouse Boutique Hotel to any friends or family making a future trip to Cartagena. The hotel was modern, fun, clean and comfortable. Every staff member was very friendly and the front desk was always very quick to respond to any requests and questions. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was fantastic - great delicious options and great value - way better than your typical continental breakfast! We made good use of the rooftop pool, which served as a much-needed cool down after exploring the city in the heat. The rooms were well-serviced every day and the shower had great pressure and never-ending hot water! Excellent stay all around!"

"I had a wonderful stay here. Though it was for a short time, my party of two was throughly taken care of from beginning to end. Jorge, the night manager, made sure any questions were answered about the hotel or surrounding areas--what was available to us, what was safe, what would be entertaining, etc. He was always kind, bright, and helpful. The hotel staff were always polite and warm, as well. We had the first room on the first floor, which was concerning to me, at first, due to the music that plays. I am a very light sleeper. However, though the room wasn't soundproof to the music or people in the lobby or open seating area, it did a great job of blocking out the sounds and I slept very well throughout each night. My friend enjoyed the breakfast and sitting areas to study. I enjoyed the comfortable beds and spacious shower with excellent hot water. The rooms are a little dim for me, but overall the soft lighting helps keep you relaxed once you return indoors from the hustle and bustle of the nearby streets of the Walled City. Money exchanges are nearby with great rates; bars and restaurants are all aorund; souvenirs are easy to get close by; Great location! It is largely due to Hotel Casa del Gobernador that I had such a warm and seamless welcome into Cartagena, and that I felt safe and like I had family looking out for me if anything were to ever occur (nothing did and I never once felt as it would, btw, but it's nice to have support whenever traveling abroad).
