"We loved the location. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, providing the true feeling of being in the tropics. The property is set at the opening of a beach. As other reviewers mentioned, there was some nighttime noise from people hanging out at the beach; however, it was quiet by 9 or 10 pm. We could take walks on the beach to get to some wonderful restaurants. The host and groundskeeper were very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. "Our group (two families with kids) loved our stay at Drew’s treetop house. The property is magical- even better than the pictures- and the layout means you can have your own space when you want it while benefiting from the common space in the main house. The commercial kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you’ll need to cook, and the bar is well-stocked as well. Larissa (the caretaker) couldn’t be friendlier and takes care of cleaning dishes, making beds, and answering questions. The kids loved Long John (macaw) and Missy (cat) in addition to the pool and the facilities. I can’t think of a single negative and we’ll definitely be back - it was a wonderful week. "

"We only had 1 week but could have easily stayed for a month. The location is just exceptional. A short drive from the airport, the home is close to all the recreational amenities of West Bay. Only steps from the beach, you’re a quick, short swim to world-class snorkelling. The unit, ideal for 2 couples, or a family of 5, was unusually well-equipped. Most importantly, the on-sight care takers were charming and very helpful, with great communication. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a well-located home away from home. 5-stars. "We stayed at the temple treehouse for four weeks in March and April, 2025. The location is all you could ask for if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist towns. While there is a small amount of traffic, both cars and scooters, on the beach road in front of the house, I think the horse traffic taking tourists for a ride outnumbered them.. Down the beach about 100 hundred yards are two very good restaurants and Anthony’s Key Resort is walkable and on the other side of the house but out of sight. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are sufficient towels, beach and bath. There is an AC unit in the bedroom but never used it at night; on particularly hot/humid days, we would take refuge in the bedroom for an hour with the AC on. We would recommend having a car for grocery shopping, playing golf, and visiting other beaches. The snorkeling in front of the house is good both inside and outside the reef. We found the best snorkeling at West Bay, but go early to avoid the cruise ship crowd. The best fruit and vegetables are provided by Jose’s (the onsite mgr) friend, Oscar. More expensive than store but fresher and much better. In short, you can’t miss if you want easy beach access, a location away from the crowds and a lovely little house with a killer view."
